The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Neuroscience Graduate Program has a long history of outreach to the surrounding communities in Champaign County. From providing Brain Awareness Day at the Orpheum Children's Museum to volunteers going to the Juvenille Detention Center to teach. After the COVID pandemic, the Neuroscience Graduate Program began reaching out to local schools providing educational opportunities in K-12 classrooms.
