Neuroscience Program alumni come from graduates of the Neural and Behavioral Biology Program, a degree option in biology beginning in 1971, as well as graduates of the Neuroscience Program which began with its approval in December of 1989 and continues today.

Graduates of these programs have continued on to work in academia, industry, medicine, science writing, and more.  We look to maintain connection with our graduates, help promote alumni chapters, and provide updates on the current Program and its faculty and students.  Sign up for the NSP Alumni Email List.

We welcome alumni, friends, and supporters to visit the website and alumni pages for spotlights on graduates, faculty spotlights, program updates, faculty in the news, and our Annual End of Year Review highlighting the excellence in faculty, students and research.  The calendar link provides ongoing, updated events that are open to the public such as the seminars with guest speakers which occur each fall and spring on Tuesday's at 4:00 PM.

As we continue to compete for the finest graduate students, recognize the research efforts of exceptional  students and faculty, and provide visionary programming and off-campus training experiences, the Neuroscience Program relies on donations. We have several ways to support the Program, students, and faculty on the Giving Opportunities Page. Visit it today!

We hope you will take the time to check out these pages.  Questions, comments, or to schedule a visit, contact the Program Office at nsp-admin@illinois.edu.
