ASPIRE Illinois aims to recruit talented undergraduate students from backgrounds typically underrepresented in graduate programs by providing pre-application support and hosting campus visits for students to explore and consider graduate school at the University of Illinois. The Neuroscience Program actively recruits ASPIRE students who are interested in Neuroscience.
The McNair Scholar's program provides research internships, academic and professional development workshops, and campus visits for undergraduate students from backgrounds typically underrepresented in graduate programs to promote their academic excellence and pursuit of a PhD. The Neuroscience Program actively recruits McNair Scholar students who are interested in Neuroscience.
Summer Pre-doctoral Institute (SPI)
SPI provides incoming graduate students from backgrounds typically underrepresented in graduate programs with an early introduction to graduate study and an opportunity to work with a summer research advisor in their department. The Neuroscience Program actively recruits SPI students who are interested in Neuroscience.
The Illinois Summer Research Symposium (ISRS)
The ISRS brings together research programs that support the inclusion and participation of students from backgrounds typically underrepresented in graduate programs to present their research. The Neuroscience Program plans to participate in the ISRS starting in 2022.
