How an Imbalance of Omega-3 and Omega-6 Undermines Our Health - There has been a growing discrepency in the Western diet of consumption of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.  This was first publicized in a 2002 article in the journal Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapy.  In this article in "Project CBD," this discrepency is discussed.

NSP faculty member Aditi Das is quoted in this article on January 28, 2021 as noting, “There is a lot of interest in the omega-3 fatty-acid-derived endocannabinoids.”  Das is helping lead the global charge to identify and characterize these intriguing compounds. “Omega-3 endocannabinoids right now are very mysterious, except for synaptamide, which people have done a lot of work on.”
