Alum in the News: Katherine Hatcher, postdoctoral research fellow, Albany Medical College

Katherine Hatcher was a Neuroscience Ph.D. graduate student when she founded her blog and Instagram account, "Grad Self-Care" (now drkmhatcher) as a way to share her story about health and wellness in graduate school. Through it, she connects with countless other graduate students from around the country who are working to find their meaning of work-life balance. In this post, Katherine shares her monthly wellness routine and tips for setting up and sticking to your own.

To develop or enhance your wellness routine, one option is the Well Track app designed to help you understand your mental health. It offers a suite of online tools and courses to help you track your moods and teach you techniques to effectively manage challenging emotions and situations. The University of Illinois Counseling Center has made the WellTrack app available to all Illinois students—you do not need to be a client of the Counseling Center to access it.
