Research Description
Teresa research focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying cognition in aging and age-related neurodegenerative diseases, including mild cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias. Her work aims to understand how neural oscillations measured using electroencephalography (EEG) change across healthy aging and in early stages of cognitive impairment. She is also interested in the use of technology to support aging in place, with the goal of enhancing/maintaining cognitive function, independence, and quality of life among older adults.
