Conferences, Annual Meetings, Workshops
The Neuroscience Program believes that participation in conferences and annual meetings is vital to the graduate student development. It provides opportunity to present research and to receive feedback from colleagues and peers at universities and in industry. It also provides an opportunity to network and learn from fellow scientists.
The Neuroscience Program maintains a membership in the Society for Neuroscience and encourages participation in its annual meeting. Each graduate student has the opportunity to receive $750 in support from the Program towards travel and participation in a conference or workshop each year. Students are required to be presenting research to be eligible for the financial support. Additional funds may also be available from the Graduate College, grants, and conference scholarships.
