Research Areas

Molecular Imaging and Cellular Engineering

My research interests include the development of genetically-encoded reporters based on fluorescent resonance energy transfer (FRET), and in combination with red fluorescence protein (RFP), to simultaneously visualize multiple signaling events and elucidate the molecular hierarchy involved in cellular signaling transduction. Another main research field of interest in the lab is to integrate the cutting-edge Nanotechnology and Optical Tools, e.g. Nano-fabrication, Laser-Tweezer, and Multiphoton Microscopy, together with fluorescence probes, to manipulate and visualize the regulatory signaling cascades in live cell motility, mechanobiology, and cancer cell development.
