Test Scores - GRE, TOEFL

  • Have your Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores sent to the University of Illinois. Verbal and Quantitative GRE scores are required for all Ph.D. applicants; GRE advanced tests scores should be submitted if you have taken these tests.

  • The Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) is required for applicants to the Medical Scholars Program, and for those applicants the GRE requirement is waived. If you have taken both the GRE and MCAT, both scores should be submitted.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores are also required for International students. (International students with a TOEFL score of less than 570 will not be considered.).

  • The Institution Code for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is 1836. The Department Code for the GRE is 0213, and for the TOEFL it is 74.
